Ronald H. "Archie" Archambault

Ronald H. "Archie" Archambault, 82, of Pleasant St., Fall River, died Thursday, December 10, 2009. A graduate of Msgr. Prevost High School and an Army veteran of WW II, he was a general contractor and a bus driver for the Union Street Railway and Southeastern Regional Transit Authority (SRTA). He enjoyed Foxwoods, Newport Jai-Alai and country and gospel music and with his companion operated R & R's Place at the Route 177 Flea Market, Tiverton. Survivors include, a daughter, Suzanne Arruda and her husband "Danny" of Somerset; grandchildren, Samantha Croteau and Dylan Arruda; a great-grandson, Ryan John Raposo; his companion of 20 years, Renee Rioux of Westport; his former companion, Marion Crowley of Somerset and nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Joseph and Delia (Gagne) Archambault and the brother of the late Irene Potvin, Alma Santos, Rose Tavares, Antoinette Silvia, Jeannette Alix, Theresa D'Arruda and Normand, Wilfred, Theodore and Imelda Archambault. His funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:30 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Notre Dame Church at 9:30 AM. Burial, Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Visitation, Monday 5:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
