Romeo A. "Romie" Bosse

Romeo A. "Romie" Bosse, 91, formerly of Tiverton and Fall River, husband of Louise Ann (Lajoie) Bosse, died Thursday, March 25, 2010. He was the founder of the original Bosse and Sons Floor Surfacing. A member of the Knights of Columbus for 50 years, he was Past Grand Night, former District Deputy and Fourth Degree member of the Tiverton Council. A Marian Medal recipient, he was a Eucharistic Minister and Altar Server at Holy Trinity Church and the former St. Jean Baptiste Church. Besides his wife of 70 years, he leaves 12 children, Maurice R. "Moe" Bosse (wife Deborah), Vivian Medeiros Desbiens (husband Roland), Richard Bosse (wife Kathy), Denise Chouinard (husband Irvin) and Lisa Mello (husband Wayne), all of Fall River; Ronald A. Bosse and Rochelle Lamarre (husband Alan), all of Maryland, Edna Philips (husband Arlan) and Paulette Philips (husband Walter) all of Mississippi, William Bosse (wife Susan) and Lorraine Serdynski (husband Tony), all of Swansea, and Theresa Haggard (husband Terrence) of Pennsylvania; 42 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; 2 sisters, Claire Beaudet of Rhode Island and Nan Parent Paradis of Fall River; and nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Romeo A. Bosse, Jr. (wife Barbara of Maryland); the son of the late Napoleon and Clara (Metayer) Bosse and the brother of the late Hector, Eli, Frank and Henry Bosse, Etta Melanson, Jeanne Bell and Juliette Crawford Kot. His funeral will be held Monday at 7:45 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Holy Trinity Church at 9:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Sunday 2:00 to 7:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. Please omit flowers.
