Rolande (Pelletier) Giroux

Rolande (Pelletier) Giroux, 90, of Tiverton,  passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2021. She was the devoted wife of George L. Giroux with whom she shared 69 years of marriage. Rolande was employed by Charlton Memorial Hospital as a Unit Coordinator.  A graduate of Jesus Mary Academy, she was a member of the French Club, Book Club and several retirement groups.  She enjoyed traveling with her husband and was a self taught painter. A professional seamstress, she  made her own wedding dress.

She was the mother of Gayle Thorley (husband Stephen) of Syracuse, NY and Douglas Giroux of Swansea and the late Gary G. Giroux and Leslie V. Giroux; mother-in-law of Christine Giroux of  Bangor, ME; grandmother of Nicole,Leslie and Max Giroux, Michaela and Luke Thorley and Justin Murphy; great-grandmother of Caleb Elijah Crisman, Mackenzie and Addison Murphy, Cailahnni Duchaney; sister of the late Anita Alexander, Estelle Peterson and Alfred,Edmond and Raymond Pelletier. She also left many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Sunday, November 28, 2021 from 12:00 NOON to 4:00 P.M.in the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So.Main St.Fall River.  Service during the visitation at 2:00 P.M. Burial will be private.
