Roland L. Morin, 83, of Hobson Ave., Tiverton, husband of Doris (Charest) Morin, died Wednesday, April 21, 2010. A Navy veteran of WW II, he operated the former Morin's Cleansers, Tiverton for many years and was employed by St. Vincent's Home, Fall River and Viti Mercedes, Tiverton. He was past president of the Tiverton Lions Club, past deputy grand knight of the Tiverton Knights of Columbus and a St. Christopher Parish, trustee, Eucharistic Minister, and Holy Name Society past president. Roland cherished summers at "the cottage" with his family. Besides his wife of 61 years, he leaves two sons, Pierre R. Morin and his wife Donna and Donald G. Morin and his wife Alice, all of Tiverton; 4 grandchildren, Matthew Morin (wife Jennifer), Martha O'Connor (husband Thomas), Jean Meyers (husband Patrick) and Emily Aguiar (husband Steve); nine great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Arthur and Blanche (Mathieu) Morin and the brother of the late Oliver Morin (wife Reina of Maryland) and Helen Rousseau (husband late Edgar). His funeral will be held Monday at 8:45 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Christopher Church, Tiverton, at 10:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Sunday 3:00 to 7:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
