Roland A. Levesque, 88, of Barnes St., Fall River, husband of Marguerite (Dumont) Levesque, died Friday, November 23, 2012. A Durfee High School and Thibodeau Business College graduate, he was a tax examiner for 33 years with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, a financial planner with Rene LePage Financial Services for more than 40 years and operated R & J Business and Tax Service with his daughter, Jeanne. An Army veteran of WW II, he was the recipient of numerous decorations including the Purple Heart Medal, and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. He served on the Board of Directors of Notre Dame Credit Union and was a member of the Holy Name Society of Notre Dame Parish. Besides his wife of 65 years, he leaves 4 children, Muriel Schoonover and her husband Verne of Fall River, and Robert R. Levesque and his wife Rosemarie, Jeanne Paradis and her husband Raymond and Richard J. Levesque, all of Westport; grandchildren, Kevin, Brian and Steven Avellar, Renee Rebello, and Jessica, Matthew and Jennifer Levesque; and great-grandchildren, Angelica, Preston, Lucas and Benjamin Avellar, Ethan and Mykayla Rebello and Marley Levesque. He was the son of the late Amedee and Robea (Dupras) Levesque and the brother of the late Raymond Levesque. His funeral will be held Monday at 8:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Bernadette Church at 9:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Sunday 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
