Roland Banville

Roland Banville, 77, of Amity St., formerly of Peckham St., died Thursday, April 26, 2007 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Bertha (Ernst) Ravenelle DeGagne Banville. A lifelong resident of Fall River, he was the son of the late Emile and Rose (Emard) Banville. He was employed by Berkshire Hathaway, Sarama Lighting, Quaker Fabrics and Tremblay Bus Co. He was an Army veteran and had an interest in antique cars. Besides his wife of 45 years, survivors include a daughter, Rosemary Ferry of Fall River; 2 stepsons, Robert Ravenelle and his wife Patricia of Connecticut and Paul Ravenelle and his wife Rosemary of Fall River and grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was the stepfather of the late Lionel Ravenelle (wife Annette) and the brother of the late Doris Cambra and Loretta Souza. His funeral will be held Saturday at 8:30 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Anne Church at 9:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Friday 5:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Faxon Animal Rescue League, 474 Durfee St., Fall River MA 02720.
