Roger A. Rioux

Roger A. Rioux, 71, of Crescent St., Fall River, husband of Elena (Tonelli) Rioux, and son of Valeda (Salois) Rioux of Fall River and the late Albert Rioux, died Sunday, August 12, 2012. A graduate of Msgr. Prevost High School, he served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War and was employed by Bradlees and Rocky's Ace Hardware. He enjoyed golf and was an avid Red Sox fan. Besides his wife of 34 years and mother, he leaves, 2 children, MCPO Steven Rioux, USN and his wife Amy of Yorktown, VA and Julie Ann Boudria of Fall River; a grandson, Noah Boudria; stepchildren, Steven Desjardins and his wife Deborah of Lexington, VA, Diane Lambert and her husband Rodney and Kenneth Desjardins, all of Fall River; step-grandchildren, Tracie and Shawn Desjardins, Robert Deschenes, and Brooke, Brittany and Brett Lambert; siblings, Claudette Courville and her husband William of Somerset and Paul Rioux of Tiverton; and nieces and nephews. His funeral will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Holy Name Church at 12:00 NOON. Burial, Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne Visitation, Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
