Roger A. Lamontagne

CW4 Roger A. Lamontagne, Massachusetts Army National Guard, Ret. 68, of Milliken Blvd., Fall River, formerly of Somerset, husband of Phyllis J. (Santos) Farrell Lamontagne, died Sunday, March 7, 2010. A graduate of Msgr. Prevost High School, Chief Warrant Officer 4, Lamontagne served the first 20 years of his career as a full time enlisted soldier and the next 21 years as a full time Military Personnel Technician in the Massachusetts Army National Guard, retiring in 2001. He was also employed by Fall River Ambulance Service, Raymond's Market, Auclair Funeral Home and Southcoast Hospitals Group. He was a member of the National Guard Assn. of Massachusetts, National Guard Assn. of the United States, 126th. Signal Battalion Assn., Field Artillery Dug Out Club, Retired State, County and Municipal Employees Assn. St. Patrick Parish Men's Club, Somerset, and Past President of St. Anne Fraternity. Besides his wife Phyllis, he leaves daughters, Michelle V. Coe of Jacksonville, FL, Denise D. Cabral (husband late Jeffrey) and Susan H. Auclair (husband Adam) all of Fall River; grandchildren, Ryan Cabral, Amanda Raposo, Corey Cabral, Kiara Cabral, Andrew Coe, and Noah and Nathan Auclair; siblings, Pauline Caron (husband late Roger) of Dayville, CT, Emile Lamontagne (wife Pauline) of Dighton, Irene Kehoe (husband William) of Bristol, RI, and Diane Diogo (husband Joseph) of Somerset; his former wife Jeannette (Bileau) Rivera of Fall River and nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Robert and Rita (Forcier) Lamontagne.His funeral will be held Wednesday at 7:45 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Patrick Church, Somerset at 9:00 AM. Burial, Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Visitation, Tuesday 3:00 to 8:00 PM.
