Roger J. LaFrance , a former resident of the beautiful town of Assonet, passed away on October 27, 2022, after a valiant fight with Covid.
Roger graduated from Monsignor Prevost high school with the class of 1961. He was a great athlete while in high school and participated in several sports.He still found time for his studies and was able to graduate with honors.
After high school, Roger wanted to serve his country by joining the Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. He received an honorable discharge in 1966 from the military and set his sights on a new challenge.
Roger, eventually took over the reigns of the family catering business from his father, and grew the restaurant into a thriving business while always being there helping out the local community. White Spa caterers had an excellent reputation for quality service and delicious food throughout New England.
Roger's favorite pastimes were betting on the dog track races and playing poker. During the restaurant's slow season you could find him on the beaches of Florida. Roger's retirement dream was to live a simple life on the Island of Grenada.
Roger was the son of the late Roger and Marion (Miller) LaFrance. He was the brother of the late Darlene Boutin, Cheryl Graham and Lisa Joy LaFrance. He leaves behind a brother, Kevin LaFrance and several nieces and nephews.
His ceremony of life and faith will be held at:
