Roger "Jiggie" Desrochers

Roger "Jiggie" Desrochers, 83, of Bridle Way, Fall River, formerly of Sodom Rd., Westport, husband of Claudette (Simard) Desrochers, died Wednesday, July 13, 2011. A Navy veteran of WW II, he attended Msgr. Prevost High School and was employed by Duro Finishing for 37 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Tiverton, The KOC Bowling League, the Flint Merchants Bowling League, and the South End Athletic Club's golf and bowling leagues. Besides his wife of 60 years, he leaves, 3 children, Richard Desrochers (wife Joanne) of Middleboro, MA, Gerard Desrochers (wife Harriet) of Dartmouth, MA, and Jacqueline MacDonald (husband Michael) of Westport, MA; grandchildren, Danielle Holdsworth (husband Clay), Michael, Christopher, Matthew and David Desrochers, Nicole Snyder (husband Andrew), Keith MacDonald (wife Andrea), and Kyle MacDonald; great-grandchildren, Cameron, Lily Marie, and Griffin MacDonald, Grace Snyder, and Emmeline Holdsworth; siblings, Margaret Paquette of Dartmouth, Rita Michaud of NH, and Leo Desrochers of Tiverton; and nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Albert and Antoinette (Lemay) Desrochers; and the brother of the late Gerard, Lionel, and Benoit Desrochers, Lucille Ouellette, Theresa Gagne, and Germaine Domingue. His funeral will be held Saturday at 10:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Theresa Church, Tiverton, at 11:00 AM. Cremation to follow.
