Roger A. Beben

Roger A. Beben, 80, of Fall River passed into eternal rest Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Eleanor (Arruda) Beben, with whom he shared 56 years of marriage. He worked with his father and brothers at Stephen W. Beben and Sons Contracting Company, then worked at Aetna Insurance Company as a maintenance man. He then went on to work for Word, Inc. as a bus driver. Roger enjoyed traveling, having been to Las Vegas 27 times (twice a year) with his wife and son. He was a New England sports fan, and also enjoyed watching old cowboy movies. Also, graduated from Johnson and Wales college in 1977. He served in the Army National Guard.

Roger also leaves a daughter, Cheryl Wilding (husband Scott);  a son, Christopher Jon Beben; two grandchildren, Joshua Wilding (wife Jessica) and Jared Wilding (companion Ashley Lorgeree; a great-grandson Landon David Wilding, who was Roger’s pride and joy; three siblings, Stephen Beben, Robert Beben and Irene Souza; many nieces and nephews. His companion, a boxer named “Bambi”.

Roger was the brother of the late Joan Stys and the son of the late Stephen W. and Stella (Makuch) Beben.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Holy Trinity Church, at 10:00 A.M. 951 Stafford Road, Fall River. Burial will be private.
