Robert Roland Caron, of Tiverton passed away on March 29, 2023, on his 95th birthday. He was born to the late Roland J. Caron and Wellena (Charest) Caron in Fall River, MA, and raised in Island Park, Portsmouth. He moved to Tiverton in 1960 to raise his three sons. He was the brother of the late Bertrand Caron and Juliette (Caron) Sieman. He was predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Dorothy (Pypniowski) Caron.
Bob served in the United States Navy for two years, 1946-1947. After his service, he worked in the family business of Charest Dairy. He later accepted the position of paint shop foreman at Sarama Lighting in Fall River. He also worked for years as a television repairman. He was devoted to his parish, St.Christopher’s Church in Tiverton, where he volunteered his services as a Eucharistic Minister and sexton as long as his health permitted.
He is survived by his children, Richard Robert Caron and his wife Susan of Seekonk, Donald Robert Caron and his wife Mary of Bristol, and Michael Robert Caron and his wife Jo-Anne of Portsmouth; his grandchildren Stephanie Hipskind and Nicholas Caron; and his great-grandchildren Alexander, William, Vivian, Adam, and Natalie Hipskind. He delighted in rooting for the New England Patriots with his sons.
A visitation will be held Sunday, April 2 from 2:00 P.M to 5:00 P.M. at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So.Main St.Fall River. His funeral will be held Monday, April 3 at 9:00 A.M. from the funeral home with a Funeral Mass at St.Christopher’s Church, Tiverton, at 10:00 A.M. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery.
