Robert R. Canuel

Robert R. Canuel, 75 of Fall River, son of the late Adelard and Aldea (Brodeur) Canuel, entered into rest Tuesday, March 8, 2016. He was employed by Rhode Island Hospital for 35 years and by Fall River News Co. and Sam's Club and was a Clifton Assisted Living volunteer. He leaves three children, Elaine M. Cabral (Mario) and Christine Canuel (Neil Feola) all of Johnston, RI and John R. Canuel (Jennifer) of Attleboro; grandchildren, Nicholas and Anthony Cabral, Ashley and Alexander DeCastro, Ava Feola and Aaron and Rachel Canuel; sisters, Lorraine Banville of Fall River, Pauline Baraby of Westport, Janet Thomas of Connecticut and Denise Canuel of Somerset; his loving companion of 13 years, Mary Thorpe, her children, Linda Franco (Craig) of Bristol and Eric Thorpe (Jillian) of Fall River, their children, Ryan and Shawn Franco and Dylan Thorpe; and nieces and nephews. His funeral will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at St. Bernadette Church at 11:00 a.m. Visitation, Saturday morning prior to the funeral from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. Large parking area & barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home.
