Robert E. "Frenchy" Michaud

Robert E. "Frenchy" Michaud, 77, of Mary Lou Ave., Westport, MA, died Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of Mary Margaret (Peets) Michaud. Born in Fall River, the son of the late Albert and Alice (Fournier) Michaud, he lived in Westport for the past 36 years. A retired Chief Petty Officer, he served in the Navy for 20 years and then was an auditor for Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island. He was a member of the Over the Hill Gang and the Boys Club and enjoyed classical music and opera. Besides his wife of 35 years, survivors include 2 sisters, Lorraine Desrosiers of Fall River and Collette Bryda of Somerset; a brother, Normand Michaud of Westport and nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Andre Michaud. His funeral will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. George Church, Westport at 12 Noon. Cremation to follow. Calling hours Friday 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
