Robert J. Koohy

Robert J. Koohy, 73, of Tiverton, formerly of Fall River, husband of the late Phyllis A. (Binette) Koohy, and son of the late John and Eva (Izzir) Koohy, died Wednesday, August 12, 2015. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War, was budget officer at the Newport Naval Base and taught accounting at Bristol Community College. An avid golfer, he was a graduate of BMC Durfee High School, Class of 1960 and Bristol Community College and Southeastern Massachusetts University. He served on the Tiverton Personnel Board and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Tiverton. He leaves three sons, Jon Koohy and his wife Jamie of Rumford, RI, Jeffrey Koohy and his wife Nancy of Swansea, MA and Jason Koohy and his wife Erika of Middletown, RI; seven grandchildren, Amanda, Shawn, Noah, Jackson, Madison, Jacob and Owen Koohy; a brother-in-law, Robert Binette and his wife Ann Marie of Fall River; nieces and his companion Toni Sousa.
