Robert D. Gagnon

Robert D. Gagnon, 81, of Westport, husband of Alyce B. (Dubiel) Gagnon, entered into rest on Thursday, September 29, 2016, surrounded by his wife and children. A devoted family man and Red Sox fan, he spent most of his life in auto sales. He also owned and operated the former Bob Gagnon's Chalet House Restaurant of Westport.

As well as his wife of 62 years, he is survived by seven children, Leonard R. Gagnon and wife Sally, Barbara J. Oliveira and husband James, Michael D. Gagnon and wife Donna, Donna M. LaHaie Demers and husband Paul, Robin A. Riley and husband Michael, Laurie A. Martin and husband Gil, Kimberly M. Dean and husband Alan. He also leaves behind 15 grandchildren, Amie Guimond, Melanie Aguiar, Stephanie Horton, Alicia Gagnon, Michael and David LaHaie, Nicole Medeiros, Rachael McHenry, Timothy and Stephen Riley, Cory, Christopher and Ethan Martin, Jacob Dean and Daniel Chester; as well as 19 great-grandchildren; sisters, Blanche Ryan and Doris Cote; and many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Marc J. Gagnon and his late wife Theresa). He was the son of the late Albert H. and Alice (Robidoux) Gagnon and the brother of the late Lorraine Zinni.

His funeral will be held Monday at 8:30 a.m. from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport, at 10:00 a.m. Interment, Notre Dame Cemetery.

Visitation, Sunday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Large parking area & barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home. Donations may be made to Southcoast VNA, 200 Mill Rd., Fairhaven MA 02719.
