Robert M. Farias, 75, passed away peacefully with his wife and daughter, Christie by his side on Sunday, May 2, 2021.

He was born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Antone and late Margaret Farias (Mello).

He proudly served in the United States Navy as a 2nd Class Petty Officer. from August 11, 1964 to August 10,1970. He served in the Vietnam War from March to December 1966 on the USS Mazama AE-9.

Through his years, Bob was known as an avid archer who bow hunted deer with family and friends. He proudly returned home with his game. He was mechanically inclined and could build anything from ground up. He enjoyed working on cars and anything else that could be fixed. He had a great sense of humor and was the life of the party. He was also a proud Dad to Christie and a man who loved to be her “Coach”. He was thrilled she was a tomboy. He always strived for her to be her best in competing with the boys in Little League Baseball and BMX Bike Racing. He spent countless hours with her and spoiled her endlessly. They enjoyed traveling to races and games. He met his wife Anne, 59 years ago. They were married on May 20, 1967. They spent many happy, loving years together. He thoroughly enjoyed her cooking and a warm meal every night of the week.

He was employed at General Sheet Metal for over 15 years where he was the General Manager. He started his own HVAC company called Design Air Engineering in 1985 and was successful for many years. He was extremely grateful to Tillotson Rubber Company. It was here that he developed and constructed ovens that manufactured latex gloves. He ended his career as a Project Manager at Acme Engineering Sheet Metal.

He was an avid fan of the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox. He would talk endlessly about Tom Brady, Rodney Harrison, and Rob Gronkowski. Every conversation would always include sports talk.

He is preceded in death by his brother Richard Farias. He is survived by his wife, Anne-Marie Farias (Chace), daughter Christie Francis and her husband Paul Francis. His grandchildren, Daniel and Anthony Francis. Also survived by his daughter Quinci Morin-Farias and granddaughter Laine. Also survived by his loving sister Dorothy Sanson, and her late husband Manuel Sanson, his nephews Gary, Michael and Greg Sanson. His sister Eleanor Ellingsen, his nephews Jeff, Steve and Sherri Ellingsen. Also his sister-in-law, Colleen McIntire.

His Funeral Mass will be held Friday, May 21st at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph's Church, 1335 No. Main St., Fall River, MA 02720. Burial will be private. Donations in Robert's memory may be made to the Veteran's Association of Bristol County, 755 Pine St., Fall River, MA 02720.
