Robert "Bob the Barber" Desrosiers, 78, of Old Warren Rd., Swansea, husband of the late Claire Lois (Wamboldt) Desrosiers, died Wednesday, September 21, 2011. A Navy veteran of the Korean War, he owned and operated the former Bob's Barbershop, Wilbur Ave., Swansea, for 50 years. A member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Swansea, and Past Grand Knight of the Swansea Knights of Columbus, he initiated the KOC "Teen dances". He leaves children, Michael R. Desrosiers and his wife Deborah of Saunderstown, RI, Cindy Coroa and her husband Emanuel of Swansea; grandchildren, Marlena Coroa (fiancé Steven Andrade), Joshua Coroa (wife Erin), Jessica Taylor (husband Thomas), and Rebecca Desrosiers; great-grandchildren, Maia and Nolan Taylor, and Clara Mae Coroa; a sister, Vivian Morrow of Somerset; and nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Leopold and Anita (Thibault) Desrosiers. Following cremation, his funeral will be held Friday, September 30th at 8:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Louis de France Church, Swansea, at 9:00 AM. Burial, Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Visitation, Thursday 4:00 8:00 PM.
