Robert "Bob" Desmarais

Robert "Bob" Desmarais, 47, of Swansea, formerly of Somerset, husband of Kerry (Gifford) Desmarais, died Saturday, December 28, 2013. A graduate of Somerset High School and a former golf car mechanic, he owned and operated Your Sign Shop and also Off the Ground Photo in conjunction with his radio controlled planes and helicopters hobby. Besides his wife of 19 years, he leaves his daughters, Alyson and Abigail Desmarais of Swansea; his parents, Armand and Evelyn (Machado) Desmarais of Somerset; siblings, Steven Desmarais and his wife Donna of Westport, Russell Desmarais and his wife Gina and Michael Desmarais and his wife Donna, all of Somerset and Lori Ferreira and her husband Michael of Swansea; his father-in-law and mother-in-law Donald and Ellen (Murray) Gifford and brother-in-law Christopher Gifford and his wife Kristin, all of Westport and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. His funeral service will be held Monday evening at 7:00 PM in the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. Visitation, Monday prior to the service from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. Please omit flowers.
