Robert "Rube" Caron, 87, of "Swan Brook", Swansea, formerly of Fall River, husband of Pauline M. (Cayer) Caron, died Saturday, April 28, 2012. A Navy veteran of WW II, he was employed at the Paul Dever State School, Taunton, caring for the disabled for 38 years. A well known and very talented area musician, he headed the family band "Zip & Zap", often playing four instruments himself at the same time. A very kind man, he brought joy to everyone he met, leaving them with a happy memory. He was a member of the East End Sportsman's Club and AMVETS. Besides his wife of 64 years, he leaves 2 children, Richard N. Caron and his wife Susan of Swansea, and Charlotte M. Worsley and her husband John T. of Perham, Maine; grandchildren, Jeremy and Ross Caron, John, Christopher, Joshua and Adam Worsley; 14 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Cyrus and Josephine (Lemay) Caron; and brother of the late Leo, Edward, Aime, Normand, Cyrus, and Raymond Caron. His funeral was private. Donations to Alzheimer's Assn., 311 Arsenal St., Watertown MA 02472 appreciated. With all that he went through before going home to the Lord, he would still say "everything is going to be all right".
