Robert Richard Beben

Robert Richard Beben, 80, of Somerset, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2024. He was the husband of Ann Marie (Angelone) Beben of 56 years.

Robert loved gardening, going to casinos, and watching football. He was constantly tinkering in his garage and taking care of his property. He was also an active participant at Saint Anne’s Chapel at St. Anne’s Hospital for many years.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his brother, Stephen J. Beben (wife Pauline), his sister, Irene Souza (late husband Frank), and several nieces, nephews, and godchildren.

He is also survived by Ann Marie’s Goddaughter, Dawn Martin, who has been her constant support thru this difficult time; her supporter, Judy Martin; and her friend and caretaker, Rhonda Medeiros.

Robert was the son of the late Stephen and Stella (Makuch) Beben; brother of the late Roger A. Beben (wife Eleanor), and Joan Stys (husband Teddy).

The family would like to thank the staff of Sunset Hospice for their care.

A visitation will be held Friday, June 7, from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the Auclair Funeral Home.

His Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, June 8, at 10:00 AM at St. John of God Church, Somerset. Relatives and friends are invited to join directly at the Church.
