Robert D. Banks, Sr.

Robert D. Banks, Sr., 72, of Main Rd., Tiverton, formerly of Fall River, died Saturday, February 24, 2007 at Heatherwood Nursing & Rehab, Newport. Born in Fall River, the son of the late John Banks, II and Irene (Debuc) Banks, he lived in Tiverton for many years. An Army veteran of the Korean War, he worked in construction for many years. Survivors include 2 sons, Robert D. Banks, Jr. and his wife Donna of Somerset and Steven D. Banks and his wife Jennifer of East Providence; a daughter, Irene M. Banks of Somerset; 4 grandchildren, Daniel, Justin, Nicole and Kristofer Banks; 2 brothers, John I. Banks, III of Kissimmee, Florida and Ronald Banks of Brookings, Oregon; 4 sisters, Carol Pereira of Pensacola, Florida, Rosemary Pelletier of Swansea, Shirley Goulet of Langley, SC and Melody Hendrixson of Nashville, Tennessee and nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 12:00 noon in the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. Burial, Oak Grove Cemetery, Fall River.
