Robert G. Allard

Robert G. Allard, 74, of Fall River, husband of Ann (Laforest) Allard, entered into rest Tuesday, December 15, 2015. He was the son of the late George and Laura (Brocher) Allard. A lifelong resident of Fall River, he attended B.M.C. Durfee High School. Mr. Allard was a machine operator at Texas Instruments for more than 30 years, until his retirement. He was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed reading and watching movies. He loved birds and animals, especially his parakeet Molly. He was known by all as a kind and gentle man who found the good in everyone. Besides his wife of 51 years, he leaves a daughter, Deborah Allard Dion and her husband Marc Munroe Dion, of Fall River; siblings, Donald Allard of Fall River and Priscilla "Peachie" Allard of Greenville, RI and nieces and nephews. His funeral service will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. Interment, Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation, Saturday morning prior to the service from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Large parking area & barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home.
