Rita (Varieur) Viveiros

Rita (Varieur) Viveiros, 76, of Pleasant St., Fall River, died Sunday, February 25, 2007 at Saint Anne's Hospital. She was the wife of John Viveiros. Born in Attawaugan, Connecticut, the daughter of the late Ludger and Clarinda Varieur, she lived in New Bedford for many years and in Fall River for the past 55 years. She was employed by the former Bradlee's Department Store for 21 years. An avid crafter, she was a member of the Westport Senior Center, the Heritage Park Singers and St. Anne Hospital's Hudner Oncology Center Support Group. Besides her husband of 55 years, survivors include a daughter, Nancy Harrison and her husband Raymond A. Harrison of Fall River; a son, Richard Viveiros of Fall River; 3 brothers, Ludger Varieur of Connecticut and Rene Varieur and Roger Varieur, both of New Bedford; a sister, Flo Gagnier of Lake Helen, Florida and nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Eva L. Fournier Sullivan and George Varieur. Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Immaculate Conception Church at 10:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Tuesday 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
