Rita (Martel) Sampson

Rita (Martel) Sampson, 88, of North Main St., Fall River, formerly of Lafayette Place, beloved, 53 year, companion of the late George H. "Joe" Hubert, died Friday, August 20, 2010. She leaves 6 children, Walter Sampson (wife Louise), Roland Sampson (wife Sandy), and Valerie Hebert (husband Randy), all of Fall River, Claudette St.Martin (husband Edgar) of Newport News, VA, Jeannine Souza of New Bedford, and Pauline Cote (husband Robert) of New Port Richey, FL; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, 2 brothers, Oscar Martel of Fall River and Armand Martel of Somerset; and nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Alphonse and Eva Martel and the sister of the late Yvette Roberts, Jeannette King, Florence Daylor, Leo and Lucien Martel and Lillian Hubert. Her funeral will be held Monday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a committal service in the Mausoleum Chapel of Notre Dame Cemetery at 10:00 AM. Visitation, Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 PM. with a funeral service at 5:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
