Rita L. Radigan

Rita L. (Taylor) McMenemy-Radigan of 1685 Pleasant St., Fall River, formerly of West Island, Fairhaven and Leicester, MA, died Tuesday, September 6, 2005. Born in Worcester, the daughter of the late William O. and Bernice L. (Hallihan) Taylor, she lived there for 20 years, in Leister for 25 years, in Fairhaven for 5 years and in Fall River for the past 17 years. A graduate of Worcester South High School and a Licensed Practical Nurse in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, she was employed for 20 years in state and federal hospitals including Worcester State Hospital and Taunton State Hospital and was a private duty nurse for Dr. Maurice Kenler of New Bedford. She was a member of Fall River Catholic Nurses Association and Licensed Practical Nurses Association. An avid bowler, she was a member of the Women's Bowling League, Spencer, MA and was a Worcester Cub Scout den mother. Survivors include 3 sons, Kevin McMenemy and his fiancee Vicki Hibbard of Spencer, Kerry Scott McMenemy and his wife Denise of Willington, CT and William Joseph McMenemy, Jr. and his wife Maria of Charlton, MA; 2 daughters, Kelly L. Pratt and her husband Michael of Spencer and Ellen Rose Greenfield and her husband Brian of East Wareham; 3 sisters, Marie R. Newsome of Colorado, Diane Tisa of Fitchburg, MA and Irene T. Gustafson of Sutton, MA; 10 grandchildren, her companion Dennis Pacheco and nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Lorraine Taylor. Visitation Saturday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. Funeral service during the visitation Saturday at 8:00 p.m. LARGE PARKING AREA and barrier-free entrance to the rear of funeral home.
