Rita (Thibodeau) Maynard

Rita (Thibodeau) Maynard, 83 of Westport, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022. She was the wife of the late George T. Maynard.

She was an employee of Louis Hand MFG.  Rita was past president of the American Legion Post 145, Auxiliary, Westport, as well as being a cook for over 30 years at the Westport Council on Aging Annual Senior Picnic. A member of Pawtucket Red Sox Inner Circle, she was a collector of PawSox Memorabilia.

Rita was the mother of Susan Ann Maynard and the late Sandra Ann Barbosa and Stacy Ann Maynard; grandmother of Jocelyn Barbosa (companion Jeffrey Pacheco), Jennifer Barbosa, Rebecca Crancha, Bryan Crancha; great-grandmother of  Jarrett Pacheco, Calysie Crancha and Daenerys Crancha; sister of Richard, Wilfred and David Thibodeau, Pauline Niewola, and the late Anna Goddard and Doris Mattos; dear friend of Marie Novo; aunt of many nieces and nephews; daughter of the late Wilfred and Lena (Malenfant) Thibodeau.

A visitation will be held Sunday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. At the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So.Main St.Fall River.

Her funeral will be Monday at 8:45 AM from the funeral home with a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Grace Church, Sanford Rd. Westport, at 10:00 AM. Burial, Beech Grove Cemetery.
