Rita (Borges) Marsland

Rita (Borges) Marsland, 71, of Ridge St., Fall River, wife of the late Robert J. "Bob" Marsland, passed away Friday, July 20, 2012 at her daughter's home in Swansea, surrounded by her family. Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Arthur M. and Deolinda (Rapoza) Borges, Rita worked as Pre-K teacher's aide for over 30 years at the former St. Anne's Elementary School, prior to retiring. She leaves four children, Cheryl Canuel (Maurice) of Swansea, Robert J. Marsland, Jr. (Jay Mello) of Assonet, Linda Wood (Donlie) of Easton, and Lisa Gravette (Tony) of Tiverton; grandchildren, Beth and Amy Canuel, Katlyn Pacheco, Jamie and Bailey Gravette and David Marsland; sisters, Geraldine Miranda and Eileen Martin; and several nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Anne Church at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Cremation to follow. Visitation, Tuesday from 1:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
