Rita E. (Thomas) Hughes

Rita E. (Thomas) Hughes, 91, formerly of North Main St., Fall River and Borden Place East, widow of Daniel L. Hughes, died Thursday, April 1, 2010. Formerly employed by Wilbur's, she was past-president of the Fall River Emblem Club and a former member of the Green Valley Country Club, Portsmouth. RI. She leaves a son, Robert Hughes and his wife Dianne of Berlin, Maryland; grandchildren, David Hughes and his wife Karlyn of Forest Hill, MD and Karen Arnold and her husband Thomas of Bellevue, NE; great-grandchildren, Michael Hughes, and Katherine and Matthew Arnold; and nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late James and Lena (Sabins) Thomas and the sister of the late Pauline Casey, Mae Moran, and Henry, George and Robert Thomas. Her funeral will be held Tuesday, April 13, at 10:15 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Mary Cathedral, at 11:00 AM. Burial, St. Patrick Cemetery. Visitation, Tuesday morning prior to the funeral from 9:00 to 10:15 AM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. Please omit flowers.
