Rita G. (Morrissette) Guidotti

A life well lived best describes the legacy of Rita Germaine (Morrissette) Guidotti, 86, a life long resident of Fall River who passed on Friday, August 9, 2024.

A graduate of the Jesus Mary Academy and SMTI,  (now UMASS Dartmouth). Rita enjoyed a career as a Teacher and Job Counsellor (state of MA). She also taught Catechism for decades and was a 2018 recipient of the Marion Medal. She took great pleasure in visiting the beach and traveling to FL. She was also an avid fan of Providence Friars basketball and all Boston pro sports.

Besides her husband of 68 years, Joseph J. Guidotti, she leaves four children, Michael Guidotti (wife Debra), Kathy Ann Leman, Joanne Baillargeon, and John Guidotti; three grandchildren, Nicholas Guidotti (wife Laura), Alexa Guidotti, and Andreus Guidotti; and a sister, Claudette Kokolski (late husband Stephen).

Born on February 11, 1938, Rita was the daughter of the late Ernest and Margaret (Aubin) Morrissette and sister of the late Janet Bouchard (husband George).

A celebration of her life will be held Tuesday, August 20 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River to honor her memory. There will be a funeral service at 11:30 AM.
