Rita (Canuel) Goddu

Rita (Canuel) Goddu, 90, formerly of Buckley St., Fall River, widow of Jean Paul Goddu, died Sunday, January 18, 2009. A member of the Ladies of St. Anne Sodality of Notre Dame Parish, she was employed by Har-Lee Mfg., Lincoln Amusement Park, Adams Drug Stores and R.A. McWhirr's Dept. Store. She leaves a son, André L. Goddu of Tiverton; 3 grandchildren, Matthew and Kristin Goddu and Danielle Kelley and her husband Christopher; great-grandchildren, Matthew and Dillon Goddu and Nicholas Kelley and nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Francois Xavier and Philomene (Paré) Canuel and the sister of the late Delia Lavoie, Albina Labonte and Helene Mercier. A funeral service will be held Friday at 12:00 NOON in the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Friday morning prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 NOON. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
