Rita Cyr

Rita T. (Martin) Cyr, 83, of Swansea, wife of the late Joseph F. Cyr, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018.

She was a former member of the St. Michael Parish Women's Club. She enjoyed knitting, card games, feeding the birds and making puzzles. She also loved her cats.

She leaves a son, Joseph M. "Mike" Cyr and his wife Michelle of Swansea; a sister, Lorraine Silveira and her husband Manuel of Swansea; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Claire Machado (late husband Mitch), Raymond Martin (wife Patricia), Donald Martin (late wife Theresia), and Normand Martin (wife Claudette) and the daughter of the late Edward J. and Alberta T. (Desbiens) Martin.

Her funeral will be held Monday at 9:00 AM from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River with a funeral mass at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Swansea at 10:00 AM. Interment, St. Patrick Cemetery, Fall River.

Visitation, Sunday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Large parking area and barrier-free entrance to the rear of the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Catholic Memorial Home, 2446 Highland Ave., Fall River, MA 02720.
