Rita M. (Ouellette) Cordeiro

Rita M. (Ouellette) Cordeiro, 79, of Westport, wife of Manuel J. Cordeiro, Jr., died Saturday, April 11, 2015. Rita shared her love of music by playing her guitar and singing with her folk group at church, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and prison ministries. Besides her husband of 57 years, she leaves four children, Jeffrey A. Cordeiro (Patricia) of Lake Worth, FL, Mary Beth Cordeiro of Taunton, Kathryn Cordeiro (Karin Pomerantz) of Woodstock, NH and Michael J. Cordeiro (Scott Fisher) of Walpole; her twin sister, Dorothy Pragana (David) of Westport; sisters-in-law, Marie Cordeiro of Fairhaven, Alice Ventura of Fall River and Marion DeMatos of Dartmouth; godchildren, Karen Pina and Brian Pragana, both of Westport and many nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Henry J. and Alice M. (Lafleur) Ouellette. Visitation, Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. LARGE PARKING AREA & BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. Her funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, April 15, at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, 945 Main Rd., Westport.
