Rita C. Mc (Levesque) Cann

Rita C. (Levesque) Mc Cann, 100, of Fall River, MA, wife of the late Patrick Francis Mc Cann, passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2010. The daughter of the late Arthur J. and Marie-Anne (Chasse) Levesque, and a lifelong resident of Fall River, she was a parishioner of St. Mary's Cathedral and a resident of the Corky Row neighborhood for many years. For the greater part of her life she was a housewife but did work for Arkwright Manufacturing Co. and the Fall River Public Schools as a lunchroom aide. She was a member of ILGWU (now UNITE). Mrs. Mc Cann enjoyed traveling and had fond memories of her last visit to the Hawaiian Islands. Mrs. Mc Cann had three sons, the late Paul F. Mc Cann (wife Theresa of S. Dartmouth, MA), Brian C. Mc Cann (wife Irene) and Terrence D. Mc Cann (wife Pauline) all of Fall River; seven grandchildren, Peter, David and Kimberly Mc Cann, Patricia Cantin, Tracy Olson, Lisa Chartier and Erin Spurrier; 16 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-granddaughter. She was the sister of the late Normand Levesque (wife Rita of Fall River), Medora DaSilva and Gerry Levesque. Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Mary Cathedral at 10:00 AM. Entombment, Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation, Monday 4:00 to 7:00 PM.
