Rita E. (Berube) Bernier

Rita E. (Berube) Bernier, 95, of Fall River, formerly of Tiverton, wife of the late Henry N. "Bill" Bernier, entered into rest Saturday, November 14, 2015. A 33 year employee of St. Anne's Credit Union, she was a member of the Credit Union's Board of Directors for many years, retiring in 1983. She leaves her "adopted son" Richard L. Desrosiers and his wife Susan of Somerset; their children, Steven Desrosiers, Erin Seelenbrandt and her husband Glenn, Peter, Dana and Daniel Desrosiers; and nieces and nephews including Claire Finnigan, Vivian Paquette, Charles Berube and Bob, Ronald and Herve Guerette. She was the daughter of the late Alfred Berube and Emelia (Berube) Berube-Charest; the stepdaughter of the late Donat Charest; and the sister of the late Lea Mercier, Corinne Banville, Estelle Simard, Blanche Guerette, Gertrude Desrosiers, Leon, Charles, Armand and Amedee "Fred" Berube and Roger Charest. Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at St. Anne Church, at 11:00 a.m. Entombment, Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation Wednesday morning prior to the funeral from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. Large parking area & barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home.
