Rita L. (Baraby) Amiot

Rita L. (Baraby) Amiot, 94, of Fall River, widow of Raymond A. Amiot, died Wednesday, January 25, 2012. A member of Notre Dame Parish, she was a Marian Medal recipient and an active member of the Women's Guild. She worked in the garment industry and for charity she knitted squares for the Rotary Club and hats for the Intensive Care Unit of Women and Infant's Hospital. She leaves two daughters, Claire P. Amiot of Fall River and Louise E. Brouillard and her husband Jeffrey of Westport; two grandsons, Keith M. Brouillard and his wife Jessica, and Mitchell R. Brouillard; a great-grandson, Cameron Chase; a sister, Aimea Mercier of Fall River; and nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late William and Celina (Gervais) Baraby; and the sister of the late Antonio, Albert, Adrien, Rene, Leopold and Celina Baraby. Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Notre Dame Church at 10:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery.
