Richard W. Vieira

Richard W. Vieira, 76, of Tiverton, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2022.

He was the loving husband of Rita I. (Desrosiers) Vieira with whom he shared 55 years of marriage.

Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late William C. and Rita E. (McGee) Vieira.  Prior to retiring, Richard was employed at Tech Industries as a cost accountant for over 20 years.

Mr. Vieira was a 3rd Degree member and Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, Fr. Joseph Boehr Council #4753 in Tiverton. Richard was also a 4th Degree member of Fr. Donahue Council in Tiverton and was a former District Deputy for the Rhode Island State Council Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed visiting casinos,spending time with family, and the late  “granddog”, Brody.

Besides his wife, Richard leaves two daughters, Kimberlee A. Garcia (husband Edward) of Westport and Jessica L. Peacock (husband Derek) of New Bedford; a grandson, Brayden Peacock; a brother-in-law, Michael Daly; and  several nieces and nephews.  He was the brother of the late William R. Vieira and his late wife Dorothy.

His visitation will be held Saturday, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River.  A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Burial will be at Pocasset Hill Cemetery, Main Rd. Tiverton.
