Richard Robillard, 79, of Fall River, a former Truesdale Hospital Chief of Ambulance Services and Retired Director of Fall River Emergency Medical Services, husband of the late Florence (Fisher) Robillard and fiancé of Barbara Gajda of Fall River, died Friday, October 24, 2014. He was a former member of the Board of Directors of the Fall River Chapter, American Red Cross, a Life Member of the Fall River Lodge of Elks, a member of the National Society of E. M. S. Administrators and the American Association of Trauma Specialists. A former "EMT" Examiner for the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, he was also a member of the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians. Besides his fiancée, he leaves two children, Charlene Robillard of Somerset and Richard A. Robillard of Swansea; grandchildren, Chad and Taylor Robillard; a sister, Mary Wilkerson of Charlottesville, Virginia and nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Hector and Edith (Taylor) Robillard and the brother of the late Edythe Lum, Joseph and Hector Robillard, Jeannette Cabral and Daniel Robillard. Following cremation, his funeral mass will be held Saturday, November 1, at 11:00 AM at Good Shepherd Church. Richard's loved ones are grateful to the staffs of Hudner Oncology Center and Steward Hospice. Visitation and flowers omitted. Donations may be made to Good Shepherd Parish, 1598 So.
