Richard D. Oliveira

Richard D. Oliveira, of Portsmouth, Rhode Island, died unexpectedly after collapsing at work on Friday, April 3, 2020.  He was the husband and soulmate of Marilyn (Penna) Oliveira of 52 years.

He was the son of Inez (Oliveira) Camara of Fall River and the late Dennis Oliveira and the father of Deano Oliveira of Newport, RI.  He also leaves his pomeranian, "Pepy lil’ Fox".

Richard was an experienced musician, playing in many local bands as a drummer.

A telecommunication technician, he was employed by Vencom Communications.

He was a Certified Range Safety Officer and Certified Firearm Safety Instructor.

Old friends, new friends and family members are invited to a celebration of life at a later date.
