Richard R. "Dick" Lagarde

Richard R. "Dick" Lagarde, 69, of Westport, formerly of Fall River, husband of Jane (Subica) Lagarde, died Monday, January 2, 2012. A Durfee High School graduate, class of 1960, he was supervisor of the Downtown Fall River Parking Garages and handled deliveries of the Herald News and Providence Journal in Westport for many years. He was a member of the former Fall River Bowling Green Fishing Club. Besides his wife of 27 years, he leaves 2 children, Marc Lagarde and Michelle Cabral, both of Fall River; stepchildren, Russell Bercier (wife Christine), Karen DelValle and Lori Deston (husband Albert), all of Fall River, and Sharon Perrino (husband Gary) of Rehoboth; grandchildren, Kayla Lagarde, Kaitlyn Cabral, Kory Medeiros and Jayden Francoeur; step-grandchildren, Sean Bercier, Casey Jones, Seth DelValle, Jocelyn and Rachelle Dubois and John Moniz (wife Megan); a sister, Pauline Jorge (husband Maurice) of Fall River; and nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Roland and Marie Ange (Michaud) Lagarde. Visitation in the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, with a funeral service at 7:00 PM. Cremation to follow. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
