Richard Robert Gendreau

Richard Robert Gendreau was born in Fall River, MA on October 9, 1952 and passed away on February 14, 2022, in Fort Washington, MD where he resided for many years. He was the son of the late Lucien Gendreau and Alice (Chasse) Gendreau.  Richard leaves behind a sister, Janine Gendreau, of Fall River, MA., as well as numerous cousins.

Richard had an exemplary and accomplished career as an engineer for the Naval Defense, managing the MK 41 Vertical Launching System Foreign Military Sales Program for the Executive Office of Integrated Warfare Systems. He traveled extensively throughout Asia, Europe, and the United States during his tenure as a government employee for 33 years.  He was a communicant of the former Saint Anne’s Church.

His hobbies included skiing, scuba diving, reading, traveling and enjoyed playing Sudoku as well as listening to music.

He graduated from Catholic University with a Masters Degree in Engineering and Business.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass which will be held Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Saint Louis de France Parish, 56 Buffinton St. Swansea, MA.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Stroke Association ( Stroke.org )
