Richard "Dick" Dumont

Richard "Dick" Dumont, 82, of Fall River, formerly of Dartmouth, husband of Carol F. (Lund) Dumont, entered into rest Sunday, December 20, 2015. A Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War and longtime employee of Texas Instruments, he enjoyed traveling, RV-ing, sports and reading and cherished spending time with his children and grandchildren. Besides his wife of 56 years, he leaves four daughters, Susan Eskow, Deborah Hall and her husband James, Patricia Brady and her husband Scott and Lisa Winters and her husband Michael; grandchildren, Brittany, Benjamin, Amanda, Victoria, Cassandra, Kelsie, Sydney, Samantha and Allison; a great-grandson, Trey; sisters, Jeanne Fournier and Helena Chouinard and nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Luc and Yvonne (Boucher) Dumont and the brother of the late Gertrude Berube, Doris Barnaby and Rene, Robert, Paul and Maurice Dumont. His funeral will be held Thursday at 9:00 a.m. from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at St. Joseph Church at 10:00 a.m. Burial, at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, will be private. Visitation, Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Large parking area & barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home. Please omit flowers.
