Richard L. Desrosiers

Richard L. Desrosiers, 74, of Swansea, passed away Monday, July 17, 2023 at his home.

He was the husband of the late Susan E. (Tansey) Desrosiers and the son of the late Joseph L. and Gertrude (Berube) Desrosiers. He was the “adopted son” of Rita E. (Berube) Bernier.

Richard earned a Masters Degree in Social Work from Boston College. Richard was the Chief Executive Officer at Child & Family Services of Newport County. He also worked at Child & Family Services of Fall River.

He leaves four children; Erin Seelenbrandt (husband Glen), Peter Desrosiers, Dana Desrosiers (wife Courtney), and Daniel Desrosiers;  two stepsons, Steven Desrosiers and Robert Nunes;  grandchildren; Ryan Seelenbrandt, Quinn Seelenbrandt, Trent Desrosiers, Lily Desrosiers, Asher Desrosiers, and Cali Desrosiers.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2023 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River.  Barrier-free entrance from the parking lot.

His Funeral will be held Friday, July 21, 2023 9:00 A.M. from the funeral home with a Funeral Mass at Saint Dominic's Church, 1277 Grand Army of the Republic Highway, Swansea, at 10:00 a.m.

Burial to follow at Notre Dame Cemetery.
