Richard Chaunt

Richard Chaunt, 73, of Westport, husband of Annette M. (Gillet) Chaunt, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2018. He was employed in the oil industry for more than 25 years and was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He cherished time spent with his family. Besides his wife of 49 years, he leaves two children, Wendy Beaudoin (husband Gary) of Fall River and Gregory Chaunt (wife Melissa) of Westport; two sisters, Rose Marie Blackburn of Tiverton and Paulette Lemay of Fall River; a brother-in-law, Alfred Gillet of Whitman, three grandchildren, Ashley, Michael and Lacey Chaunt, two great-grandchildren, Haley Soule and Brayden Chaunt and several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Raymond and Leo Chaunt and the son of the late Aime and Jeannette (Tessier) Chaunt. His funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. from Auclair Funeral Home, 690 S. Main St. Fall River, with a funeral mass in Our Lady of Grace Church, Sanford Rd. Westport at 10:00 a.m.. Burial, Beech Grove Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Large parking area and barrier-free entrance to rear of funeral home.
