Rev. Roland Bousquet

Rev. Roland Bousquet, 82, of Fall River, son of the late Ephraim and Lillian (Bourque) Bousquet, died Sunday, June 13, 2010. A Roman Catholic Priest and native of Fall River, Father Bousquet was Ordained to the Priesthood by Bishop James L. Connolly, on May 22, 1954. He served as an assistant at Notre Dame de Lourdes Church, Fall River, St. Joseph's Church, New Bedford, St. James Church in Taunton, and St. Louis de France Church, Swansea. He was Pastor of St. Roch's Church, Fall River, St. Stephen's Church, Attleboro, Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport, and St. Theresa Parish in New Bedford, until his retirement in November of 1999. He also served as a member of the Diocesan Tribunal from 1961 to 1996. He leaves siblings, Therese Laferriere (husband late Raymond) of Somerset, Lauretta Dion (husband late Raymond) of Fall River and Roger Bousquet and his wife Jeanne of Swansea; and nieces and nephews including, Susan Smith, Elaine Giani (husband Robert), Dr. Michael Dion (wife Sally), Barbara Bousquet and Christopher Bousquet. His Concelebrated funeral mass will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM in Notre Dame Church, Fall River. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Father Bousquet will lie in state for visitation in the church Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Please omit flowers.
