Reneé E. (Baumann) Stirnemann, a beloved figure in her community and a dedicated servant of faith, peacefully left this world on March 13, 2025, at Charlton Memorial Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on August 15, 1956, in Indianapolis, Indiana, where her journey of faith and compassion began.
Reneé was not only a devoted wife to Pastor Jay R. Stirnemann, but she also embraced the role of Director of Christian Education at Christ Temple, guiding countless individuals through their spiritual journeys. Her passion for teaching and nurturing those around her was palpable, leaving a lasting impact on the lives she touched. Reneé's commitment to her faith was evident through her work and her unwavering support of her husband's ministry.
She was a proud graduate of the Apostolic Bible Institute in Oakdale, Minnesota, a foundation that equipped her with the knowledge and fervor to serve her community with grace and devotion. With every prayer she offered and every lesson she taught, Reneé exemplified the essence of Christ-like love.
Reneé is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Pastor Jay R. Stirnemann, who stood by her side as a devoted partner throughout their life together. Her legacy also continues through daughter, Sara Axton, her husband Chris and their children, Rena and Eli and daughter Hanna Stirnemann, who carry forward her spirit of kindness and faith. She also leaves her mother, Nancy (Wright) Areng, and her brother, Jason Areng, his wife Renee and her nephew, Nicholas Areng. Reneé was the daughter of the late Fredy Baumann.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Christ Temple United Pentecostal Church 1198 Fish Road in Tiverton, Rhode Island.
Her Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, March 19 at 10:00 AM, also held at Christ Temple. Burial will follow at Pocasset Hill Cemetery, Main Rd. Tiverton.
