Rene J. Latinville

Rene J. Latinville, 81, of Lafayette Drive, Fall River, son of the late Narcisse "Pete" and Valentine (St.Amand) Latinville, died Sunday, April 22, 2012. He was the manager of the shoe department at the former R.A. McWhirr's and Martin & Sullivan Shoe Store. A tenor, he was a member of the Allegro Glee Club; Soloist at The Church of the Ascension and Notre Dame Church, Leading Tenor of the Bristol County Grand Opera, Bay State Opera, New England Opera Repertory Theater and Teatro d'Annunzio; and Oratorio Soloist of the New Bedford Community Chorus and the Aeolian Choral Society. He was the brother of Jeannette Lavoie of Fall River; the uncle of Andre Lavoie and his wife Diane of Westport; the grand-uncle of Marc Lavoie of Somerset; and the great-grand uncle of Matthew and Hannah Lavoie. His funeral will be held Saturday at 8:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Notre Dame Church at 9:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Saturday morning prior to the funeral from 7:30 to 8:00 AM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
