Rene B. Francoeur

Rene B. Francoeur, 83, of Borden Place East, 111 Borden St., Fall River, formerly of Bogle St., husband of Irene E. (Taylor) Francoeur, died Friday, March 25, 2011, at Catholic Memorial Home. An Army Air Forces veteran of WW II, he was employed by Firestone Rubber Co., Fall River and Lloyd Manufacturing Corp., Warren, RI. A member of Borden Place East Tenant Assn., and an avid Red Sox fan, he enjoyed visiting the So. Main St. Senior Center, playing cards and bingo. Besides his wife of 60 years, he leaves, 2 daughters, Karen Rezendes and her husband David of Assonet, and Donna Thibault and her husband Paul of Fall River; 4 grandchildren, Michael Brabant (fiancée Christina Ridley, David Rezendes (wife Tracey), Vanessa Carvalho (husband William), and Matthew Rezendes; 4 great-grandchildren, Bishop Brabant, Micha Brabant, and Hunter and Trent Carvalho; and nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Phillip and Rose (Leduc) Francoeur, and the brother of the late Leonard and Henry "Moe" Francoeur. His funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Notre Dame Church at 10:00 AM. Burial, St. Patrick Cemetery.
