Renato R. "Ronnie" Tavares

Renato R. "Ronnie" Tavares, 85, of Fall River, founder of Ronnie's Studio, husband of the late Eduarda (Pereira) Tavares, died Sunday, April 5, 2015. A photographer, he operated the former Ronnie's Studio, So. Main St., opposite Kennedy Park for 31 years. Born in Ponta Delgada, he had served in the military in the Azores. He leaves three sons, Steven R. Tavares of No. Attleboro, Ronald R. Tavares of Palm Coast, Florida and Gary R. Tavares and his wife Michelle of Westport; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Manuel F. Tavares of Fall River and nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Francisco and Jesuina (Carmo-Furtado) Tavares and the brother of the late Mario, Oliverio, Durval and Humberto Tavares. His funeral will be held Thursday at 9:00 a.m. from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at Santo Christo Church at 10:00 a.m. Burial, St. Patrick Cemetery.
