Rayna A. (Maltais) Cipollini

June 21, 1942 — March 7, 2023

Rayna A. (Maltais) Cipollini, age 80, of Westport Harbor, formerly of Fall River, passed away peacefully surrounded by her adoring family on Tuesday, March 7, 2023. She was the daughter of the late Arthur Maltais and Lucille Maltais-DiSanto and wife of the late John Francis Cipollini.

Rayna was a graduate of BMC Durfee High School, Class of 1961.

Rayna's life was centered around her love for family, friends, her pets, and nature. She had a special affinity for spending quality time with her loved ones, especially during holidays and other special family occasions, treasuring every moment with them. She regularly relished listening to music particularly from the Big Band and crooner era, as well as, certain more contemporary influences. Rayna traveled on weekends proudly walking the campuses of Bowdoin, UMass Dartmouth, Smith, Assumption, and Colby College with her children and grandchildren.

Rayna had a passion, and was known for, tasteful cooking of dinners and desserts; as well as gardening, which was evident in her personally landscaped yards previously in Fall River then in Westport Harbor.  Her loving nature extended to the multiple pets (dogs, cats, and fish) she owned throughout the years of her life as she took great pride in caring for them.

She was an active member of the Acoaxet Club in Westport, MA where she enjoyed dinners and golf events with her family and friends. Rayna also cherished her membership at the Elephant Rock Beach Club, where she often gathered with family and reunited with friends to spend memorable moments engaging in conversations and companionship. Rayna was a supporter of the Westport Watershed Alliance and Friends of St. Anne’s, as well as, a donor to the Westport Land Conservation Trust, PETA(People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), and the Wilderness Society.

Rayna's vibrant spirit and love for life will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Her legacy will live on through the memories created with her loved ones and extended family.

Rayna leaves three children, John E. Cipollini and his wife Carol and Nina M. (Cipollini) Rapoza and her husband Mark and Mario F. Cipollini and his wife Jill; grandchildren, Caroline and John D. Cipollini, Mia, Julia and Marcus Rapoza and Dominic and Lily Cipollini; two sisters Michele Desmarais (and her husband Richard "Dick" Desmarais) and Vivian Maltais, nieces Nicole Coudal, Elise Levesque, Marissa Gaboriau, nephew David Desmarais, great niece Lucille Levesque and multiple cousins.

The entire family sincerely thanks SouthCoast Hospice team and the staff at Charlton Hospital for their quality care and support over the last months.
